It has been narrated that once the expensive clothes of Imam Javad peace be upon him were stolen on the way while they were being brought to him.
The freight forwarder wrote a letter about the incident to the Prophet may Allah’s peace be upon him).
Imam al-Jawad peace be upon him said the following in his blessed handwriting:
Our life and wealth are among the blessings of God and are his loan and deposit. As long as we have the possibility to benefit from it, it is a source of joy and happiness, and what they take from it is a reward for us. Therefore, whoever’s impatience overcomes his patience, his reward will be wasted, from which we seek refuge in God.
