Hujjat al-Islam Mustafa Durri, Vice-Chancellor of the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence, introduced and presented a report on the three-year activity of this institute and said: The most important part of an institute in terms of knowledge is its groups and institutes. In this research institute, there are three institutes and thirteen scientific groups, of which 10 scientific groups have started working so far. Some groups have been working in the first year, some in the third year, and some in the past few days.
Speaking at the celebration of the birthday of the Prophet of Islam (s) and Imam Sadiq (‘a) held at the Research Institute of Contemporary Fiqh, he added: More than 70 brief and detailed plans have been discussed in these groups. The council members of the research institute groups and the members of the council of the research institutes are usually strict in accepting the projects, and therefore the projects that have been concluded are less than 10 research projects.
He pointed out: Research in the field of contemporary jurisprudence is very difficult both in terms of the lack of resources and in terms of the lack of a researcher who is both ready and an expert in jurisprudence and in the additional fields of these emerging jurisprudence. Despite all the difficulties. And all the problems that are facing the research in the field of contemporary jurisprudence, the research groups investigated various plans with the efforts of the honorable members of the scientific councils and the honorable secretaries of the groups and research institutes. Many projects are in the contract signing phase. Many of them have been completed or are in the process of publication. Some are in the stage of writing and necessary changes and corrections in the blueprints.
He mentioned the holding of scientific meetings and said: In the last three years, about 60 scientific meetings have been held in the research institute. Most of these meetings have been with the participation of seminary and university jurisprudence centers in Qum, Mashhad, Tehran and other cities.
Hujjat al-Islam Durri introduced the different departments of the research institute and said: In the encyclopedia of contemporary jurisprudence, more than 400 entries in the field of contemporary jurisprudence have been written so far, and other entries are being written and outsourced.
He added: More than 4,000 specific and specialized books in the field of contemporary jurisprudence in Persian, Arabic and English languages ​​have been collected in the research institute’s library. The books that existed in our country were purchased and those that did not exist were offset, and the completion of the library is underway. If you refer to the library of contemporary jurisprudence, you will probably come across a large number of books and collections of articles written in different languages ​​in many areas where you don’t think there is any writing.
He pointed out: The digital library of jurisprudence, which is located on the web, contains more than 12,000 books, theses, articles, and audio and video of contemporary jurisprudence in different languages, Persian, Arabic, and English. The work of the library has accelerated after the special design of the software that took place in this collection, and every month approximately 1500 data and sources of contemporary jurisprudence are added to the library. This means that when one visits the library next month, there will be about 13,500 or 14,000 data in the library.
He announced the launch of the English section of the research site and said: According to the plan, the Arabic section will also be launched in the coming weeks. In addition to the electronic journals produced by the research center and the media department in the field of contemporary jurisprudence. Last year, there were 5 electronic journals, each of which produced nearly 30 production records in the form of reports, discussions, and notes, which are gradually being uploaded on the website of the Research Institute of Contemporary Fiqh. This year, God willing, there will be 10 electronic journals on topics approved by scientific groups and it will be produced and all of these will be retrievable in the virtual space under the title of contemporary jurisprudence electronic magazine, which will be published in the form of a monthly magazine, God willing.
The Vice President of the Research lnstitute of Contemporary Jurisprudence noted: This year, many of the works of our groups in the field of book production will be published. Also, the collection of our meetings and the books produced by the research institute, God willing, at least 10 books will be ready for publication by the end of the year, and if the printing house helps, all of these will be published by the end of the current year.
He went on to introduce the Ahl al-Bayt lifestyle group and said: You are aware that in jurisprudential activities and researches, one of the evidences that is used a lot and usually there is little information and awareness about it is the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) way of life. in that matter, for the past two years, the lifestyle group of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) has started working, and we hope that by the middle of next year, the field of research on all topics related to the lifestyle of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) will be completed, and then gradually in different formats.
