Secretary of the Research Institute of Politics and Government of the Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence Studies, Hujjat al-Islam, Dr. Ali Sharifi gave a report on the activities of this institute during the celebration of the birthday of the Holy prophet (s) and Imam Sadiq (‘a) in the conference hall of the Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence Studies.
He stated: Research Institute of Politics and Government, Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence Studies has three scientific groups in its sub-category. Department of jurisprudence, law and citizenship duties, department of political and international relations jurisprudence, and department of jurisprudence and criminal justice. The Jurisprudence Department is newly established and maybe not even a week has passed since its birth. But the jurisprudence group of rights and citizenship duties is one of the first groups that was established.
He added: “Citizenship assignments are basically a new field and at the same time underworked in Iran, although citizenship rights have been worked on in the West and important works have also been done in Arab countries.” It is good to remember that in Egypt, almost every year, an international seminar on citizenship jurisprudence is held in general, but in Iran, there are very few specialized books on this subject. Finding the set of problems and setting up the problem system of this field was one of the important tasks that took place in this group. Nearly 500 issues under about 80 rights were extracted from citizenship rights.
Hujjat al-Islam Sharifi added: Identifying researchers who have the ability to conduct research in this field was one of the most difficult tasks, because this field has not yet been defined as a university field, and therefore someone who is an expert in this field and academically in this field. We got in touch with nearly 200 people who wrote in this field and had works either in the form of articles or in the form of participation in conferences and scientific meetings, and sometimes we were able to get their cooperation. About 30 projects in this field were submitted to the group.
He pointed out: During the last three years, we held nearly 27 scientific meetings to produce literature in this field. Because this is an area in which there is very little written literature, and for this reason, we held scientific-promotional chairs and scientific meetings, the results of which will gradually be published on the sites of the contemporary jurisprudence research institute.
He mentioned that one of the important issues was to find sources related to this field. In order to enrich the sources in this field, we cooperated with the library of the Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute and introduced the minimum sources, and some of these sources were purchased and are available in the library. which is available both digitally and in written form.
He introduced another group and said: The Department of Jurisprudence, Politics and International Relations is one of the active groups of this research institute and institute, and its life is not long. It was established at the beginning of March 1401 and less than a year has passed. During this period, two meetings have been held in this group about every month. One of the tasks that has been done during this period was extracting suitable topics for research and relevant to contemporary jurisprudence related to the field of political jurisprudence and international relations.
In the end, Hujjat al-Islam Sharifi said: In this group, we planned about 6 meetings this year, one meeting was held, and 5 meetings are about to be held. A large number of researchers who have the ability to write in this field have been consulted and their participation has been obtained.
