On the occasion of World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, a part of the statements of Ayatullah Ahmad Muballeghi at the Methodology meeting on Sunday with the topic of “Application of jurisprudential propositions; “Feasibility assessment, areas and methods” discusses the relationship between the application of jurisprudence rules and the preservation of the environment.

Ayatullah Ahmad Muballeghi preached in this context: If they ask the traditional jurisprudence that if a person throws his own garbage, which contains plastic, leaves it in the alley or street, or in the desert, or throws it on the seashore, it is very difficult for him. If you say it is haram, he says, what is the harm in this?! What is the harm of plastic? But the application of the jurisprudence propositions mentioned above says that this loss is a process, the loss is not a single case, it is a process; That is, when I throw plastic, and plastic is abundantly available in the society, and culture is formed from harmony, it means that the other person sees that I throw, he also throws. So, with this act, I am part of a process of harming the environment with dangerous dimensions. When you define harm as a process, you see that even one person is offended by throwing a piece of plastic, and you become an active element in a process where you invite others to do the same with your work, and it is possible. Tens and hundreds of people do this at the same time and you are part of this process of damaging the environment. Then you can consider this work as haram based on harm.
