The joint meeting of the directors of the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence and the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held at this office.
In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Durry, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Contemporary Fiqh Studies, discussed how this research institute was formed and introduced the research institutes and the process of its activities. And there are specific programs.
He added: Regarding the important issue of “contemporary jurisprudence” and today’s world, as well as the very high capacities of this research institute, the international department also officially started its activities last year. In the first step, the Arabic and English sections of the research site were inaugurated, and now scientific texts are being translated and uploaded.
Hujjat al-Islam Durry mentioned the capacity of the specialized library as well as the encyclopedia of contemporary jurisprudence and said: These two departments are now in a situation where the scientific centers of other countries can use the scientific productions as well as the products available in them.
Moreover, Dr. Abdul Majid Muballeghi, the director of the international department of the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence, spoke about the plans of this institute in the international arena and said: We have participated in several international meetings so far, and we have decided to hold the first specialized meeting of contemporary jurisprudence with the perspective of capacity studies in this field with the presence of international personalities.
Likewise, Mr. Hamid Makarem, the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qum, while welcoming the guests and announcing his full readiness for any kind of cooperation with the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence, said: In the holy city of Qum, some important seminary centers also have international activities, which are suitable for any activity or event. The conference should also be synergistic with these centers.
He also stated: Due to the observation and field presence of the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various meetings and programs, their opinions can be used in the issues and topics needed today. For instance, right now, various examples of human rights are still one of the important legal challenges in the international arena, the subject of which is a specialized subset of contemporary jurisprudence.
In this roundtable, it was made decision that the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence Studies should inform the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qum about its international plans and programs, so that this office can take the necessary official measures to communicate and interact with international parties.
It should be mentioned that prior to this, Mr. Hamid Makarem, the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence and visited its various departments and was informed about the activities.
