The idea of proximity was one of the main factors of Sayyid Hassan Nasrullah’s popularity

A member of the Council of Leadership Experts stated that Sayyid Hasan Nasrullah’s approach is more based on the school of Imam Khumayni, may his soul be sanctified, but Imam Musa Sadr’s style had a great impact on his conduct, and said: As Imam Musa Sadr was in contact with everyone and had an approachable conduct and he has followed exactly the same behavior.

Contemporary Jurisprudence Research Institute quoted by IKNA: Without a doubt, Sayyid Hasan Nasrullah is one of the outstanding personalities of the last century, not only in the Islamic world, but all over the world. He was able to increase the power of Hezbullah and Shi’ah in Lebanon several times with his high management power, rich intelligence and unificationist approaches.

S. Hasan Nasrullah was particularly popular in Lebanon and even other Islamic countries. This popularity can be largely due to his interaction with followers of other religions and denominations. What is your opinion on this?

He was one of the approximate and unitarian personalities and was known for this view and approach; A conference was held in Lebanon about Muhaqqiq Karaki, and I went to him and saw that he strongly believed in approximation and had memories of being in space and approximation, including about a trip he had to Egypt before he became famous, where he gave a speech about unity and this speech was very well received.

He mentioned lines about approximation that showed that they are well familiar with this category; Among other things, they stressed that we should not enter into the sensitivities of the Sunnis in order to preserve unity, and secondly, that unity is manifested in an atmosphere of sympathy, benevolence, and jihad in the way of God. Focusing on open commons was one of the approximate principles in his mind.

He accepted intellectual cooperation and dialogue as an approximate principle, and in addition to their thoughts, they also had an approximate behavior because wherever there was a need for unity between Muslims or Islam and Christianity, he played a role and followed norms that practically ended with this issue. Therefore, tinkers and thinkers, both in the Sunni and Shi’ah and Christian areas, believed in him and were interested in him, and he was also aware of the important effects of his thoughts in this field.

Also, the principles of his behavior that arose from his thought was that one should fight hard against the divisions in the ranks of Muslims, that is why they fell in with Daesh and had a bad relationship with the Takfiris and was against them, that is, they did not accept anyone who sought division. Adhering to the literature of approximation was one of his characteristics that we observed.

IQNA – Apparently, Martyr S. Hasan Nasrullah was very much influenced by the thoughts of Imam Musa Sadr.

In Lebanon, Shi’ah and Sunni denominations and followers of other religions are present, and whoever lives there, his mind and rationality will inevitably focus on approximate communications in a general sense, and this is a feature that exists in multi-religious and multi-denominations countries and societies. Imam Musa Sadr is a person whose approximate approaches are really unknown, and if the World Assembly of Approximation wants to recognize the data of approximate approaches and turn them into the norm, several key figures should be seriously studied; These personalities include a range from S. Jamaluddin Asadabadi to Ayatullah al-Uzma Burujerdi, Imam Khumayni, may his soul rest in peace, Allameh Tabatabai, Imam Musa Sadr, the Supreme Leader, Martyr Beheshti and Martyr Mutahhari; Each of them has a mentality that, if it is extracted, it will find an approximation, a complete system; All these characters are approximate, although they complement each other’s thoughts and combining these thoughts can open a new way for us to act stronger.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has done well in the field of approximation, especially in the fight against the notorious Zionist regime, but this way requires more intellectual and infrastructure effort. The Supreme Leader recently has said that we should focus on the category of Ummah and he had such a recommendation before, but recently it has increased and they even brought up the unity between the Islamic states and of course he had already proposed between the branches, so we need to learn more about Imam Musa Sadr and learn from his approaches.

Today, the Lebanese elders have secrets of Imam Musa Sadr’s approaches in their existence, and of course, there are some personalities who have more dignity and have a greater international presence, such as Martyr Sayyid Hasan Nasrullah, who has taken more depth from that school of thought. Of course, the school of S. Hasan Nasrullah is mostly the school of Imam Khumayni, may peace be upon him, but the interesting work of Imam Musa Sadr had a great impact on his behavior.

Just as Imam Musa Sadr was in contact with everyone and had an approximate behavior and was able to manifest, strengthen and highlight everyone’s side in the sense of a national common point of the Islamic world or the world of religions, he also followed exactly the same behavior. He followed in the footsteps of Imam Musa Sadr, of course, in new and different conditions. Thus, we can introduce the Lebanese as translators of Imam Musa Sadr’s speech.

IQNA – In Lebanon, apart from Islamic denominations, followers of other religions like Christians were also attracted to S. Hasan Nasrullah and were interested in him. Do you think this approach can be continued in his successors?

Yes, there was a genius in him that made him a great leader of the Arab world and he was especially popular. He had a certain frankness in his speech and words, and there was gravity and tension in his speech, and special regional interpretations rippled in his eyes. Others have the same situation, but we have to see if that genius is repeatable or not? Certainly, his colleagues have this approximate view, but we have to wait for the future.

IQNA – Do you have any memories of meeting S. Hasan Nasrullah?

A few years ago, l took a trip to Lebanon in line with the idea of approximation and comparative jurisprudence; I gave a speech on Al-Manar network, which is affiliated with Hezbullah in Lebanon, in several sessions about the approximation; Of course, Sunni scholars from other countries also gave speeches in this series of meetings; The late Ayatullah Taskhiri was also apparently present at that program. The program showed that Hezbullah’s approach is basically an approximate approach, and l was able to organize this program with the participation of Hezbullah and Al-Manar network, which means that thought was supplied from Iran, and there it found a special literary version and became a very good heritage.

Once, I told him that we are planning to form a collection of comparative jurisprudence because comparative jurisprudence has many commonalities,

and he was very welcoming.
