The Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence and Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf Emphasized the Development of Joint Scientific Cooperation

A delegation from the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence led by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mostafa Dorri, Vice President and Research Deputy of the Research Institute, in continuation of its programs to develop scientific interactions with research centers across the Islamic world, met and held talks with Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Javad Khoei, Head of the Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf.

A delegation from the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence led by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mostafa Dorri, Vice President and Research Deputy of the Research Institute, in continuation of its programs to develop scientific interactions with research centers across the Islamic world, met and held talks with Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Javad Khoei, Head of the Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf.

In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mostafa Dorri, while introducing the capacities, programs, and activities of the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence, presented a report on the most important scientific and research programs of this center.

The Vice President of the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence emphasized laying the ground for joint scientific and research cooperation between the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence and the Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf.

Continuing, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Javad Khoei, Head of the Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf, also introducing the activities of this center, referred to its educational and research programs, stating: “The Dar al-Ilm Center operates in two domains of education and research, among which one can point to holding seminary lectures, accepting seminary students based on specific criteria and conditions including memorization of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balaghah, and conducting research with an approach to strengthening proximity among religions and Islamic denominations in Iraq.”

At the conclusion of this meeting, both sides emphasized expanding scientific and research cooperation, and it was decided that a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the Research Institute of Contemporary Jurisprudence and the Dar al-Ilm Center be prepared and, following finalization, signed by both parties.

The dispatched delegation of the research institute, in continuation of this trip, visited the library of the Dar al-Ilm Center of Najaf and became closely informed about the educational and research capacities and activities of this center. Likewise, members of the delegation visited the Ayatollah Khoei Museum, which is devoted to introducing the life, works, and scientific heritage of that great Shia Marja’.
